DESCRIPTION:Bringing together a team of clinical experts and professionals in the field of ageing\, the Ageing Well masterclasses are designed to provide practical assistance and support to help navigate some of the issues around ageing\, including vital information about available services. \nMasterclasses will be delivered over seven weeks\, every Tuesday at 10:00am\, concluding at approximately 12:00pm and hosted by St Anthony’s Parish\, Marsfield. \nRefreshments will be provided and Bilingual Italian support will be present throughout the series. \nCost: Free \nThe event dates for St Anthony’s Parish\, Marsfield: \n9th July – Masterclass 1: Social Connection and Psychological Wellbeing: Explore the importance of social connections and discusses mental illness in later life. \n16th July – Masterclass 2: Physical Wellbeing: Discuss the importance of physical exercise\, nutrition\, falls prevention\, health checks\, carer fatigue and memory loss in later life. \n23rd July – Masterclass 3: Navigating Aged Care: Learn your aged care options for older adults from Retirement Living\, to Home Care\, to Residential Care communities. \n30th July – Masterclass 4: Savings Finder:  Helping you find NSW Government rebates and vouchers that are relevant to you. \n6th August – Masterclass 5: Using the internet safely and avoiding financial abuse. Discuss the benefits of embracing digital technologies and outlines some of the essentials of internet safety to help avoid common traps and scams. This class also discusses identifying and preventing Elder Abuse. \n13th August – Masterclass 6: Ageing Gracefully\, Living Fruitfully: Explore Catholic spirituality and the blessings and challenges of a more faith-filled life. \n20th August – Masterclass 7: Sharing circle.
