DESCRIPTION:Bringing together a team of clinical experts and professionals in the field of ageing\, the Ageing Well masterclasses are designed to provide practical assistance and support to help navigate some of the issues around ageing\, including vital information about available services. \nMasterclasses will be delivered over seven weeks\, every Wednesday at 10:00 am\, concluding at approximately 12:00 pm and hosted by Our Lady of the Rosary Fairfield. \nRefreshments will be provided throughout the series. \nCost: Free \nMasterclass 1: Social Connection and Psychological Wellbeing: Explore the importance of social connections and discuss mental illness in later life. \nMasterclass 2: Physical Wellbeing: Discuss the importance of physical exercise\, nutrition\, fall prevention\, health checks\, carer fatigue and memory loss in later life. \nMasterclass 3: Navigating Aged Care: Learn your aged care options for older adults from Retirement Living\, to Home Care\, to Residential Care communities. \nMasterclass 4: Savings Finder:  Helping you find NSW Government rebates and vouchers that are relevant to you. \nMasterclass 5: Using the internet safely and avoiding financial abuse. Discuss the benefits of embracing digital technologies and outline some of the essentials of internet safety to help avoid common traps and scams. This class also discusses identifying and preventing Elder Abuse. \nMasterclass 6: Ageing Gracefully\, Living Fruitfully: Explore Catholic spirituality and the blessings and challenges of a more faith-filled life. \nMasterclass 7: Sharing circle.
